Swiney

I've been a player for as long as I can remember, which has instilled in me a deep, abiding appreciation and respect for a well-crafted instrument. I come upon Crimson Guitars about 5 years ago, and have been addicted to the building process ever since. After learning everything I can find online, I'm ready to apply what I have (hopefully) learned. I'm a happily married father of three, and I work an office job, which is to say that I am a man of limited means. With that being said, I am 100% committed to this course, with the end goal being to make a living at it. Over the last 10 months, with inspiration from Ben Crowe and his fascinating builds, I've went from nowhere to work and no tools to work with, to having a (very, very small) workshop and potentially enough tools to start off. I've attempted one build, but fell victim to not knowing what I dont know about guitar building. But I'm dedicated to learning, and I feel I've learned a great deal from that failure. I think of myself as smart, dedicated, and artistic, and I know I can do this. I have some ideas for a weather-themed guitar, but I've not settled on one just yet. Wish me luck - and thank you Ben! This is truly exciting...
